At Music Bus your safety and wellbeing and the safety and wellbeing of you, your children and our franchisees and staff are our top priority. As such we have put together this policy for the safe provision of Music Bus classes in accordance with current UK law and current UK government guidelines regarding Coronavirus also referred to as Covid-19. Please note that variations to these guidelines might apply in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and as such the prevailing local regulations must also be taken into account in those areas. Like many activities the way we run Music Bus classes has been drastically affected by changes to the law and health and safety guidance in the UK and we have sought best advice from published information and local environmental health officers as well as working with venue owners and management to ensure the safe operation of classes for all our benefit. Before attending a Music Bus class it is essential that you read the following terms and conditions and acknowledge your agreement by completion of the online registration through class4kids.
1. It is essential that you agree to the terms of this policy at the time of booking and pay in full in order to confirm your place.
2. In order to secure your child’s place payment must be made in advance by block or term as advised by your Licensee. 3. We operate Music Bus classes under those conditions laid down by current legislation with further health and safety precautions as deemed advisable, necessary or preferable by us with your wellbeing and that of our franchisees at heart. 4. As such no guests or extra family members can be admitted other than yourself and the child/children booked.
5. Class numbers may be reduced for your safety and wellbeing from time to time. No refunds will be given for classes missed or postponed by virtue of changes in local or national legislation.
6. In the event that you’re unable to make a class for any reason online classes will be available in your local (and central) Facebook group each week.
7. If, on the day of your class, you or your child/children are feeling at all unwell you must not attend that week’s session. You should let your Class Leader know at the earliest opportunity that you will not be attending and particularly if you are displaying symptoms of Coronavirus. 8. On the day of your class please arrive on time and if necessary, wait in the designated area outside until it’s time to come in. Please try to avoid arriving early.
9. We will adhere to the government guidelines in force at that time regarding social distancing with further health and safety precautions where advisable, necessary or preferable.
10. Hand sanitiser will be provided on entry into the venue. Please make use of this before coming into your class.
11. When required we will assist with the NHS Covid-19 track and trace system including QR codes displayed in all our Music Bus class venues for you to scan on entry using the NHS Covid-19 app which is available to download to your phone and will record your attendance at our classes.
12. Whilst no longer compulsory at this time, in accordance with government recommendation we ask you to wear a face covering whilst entering, leaving and moving around the venue. If you are happier keeping this on during class activities, please do so.
13. You will be directed to your mat for the duration of the class, we ask you not to move this.
14. You will have your individual set of props by your mat for your use during the session including your child’s Music Bus sticker. These will be clean, and no props will be shared between members in class.
15. Please supervise your child at all times.
16. If you have a musical instrument at home, please feel free to bring this with you for your child to use and take home again afterwards. You may also be asked occasionally to bring a scarf from home for use in class.
17. Toilets are available but please wait until the last person has left and the area is vacant before you enter. Cleaning materials will be available if you would like to clean the area before or after use.
18. There are no kitchen facilities available, and no refreshments will be provided.
19. If you or your child/children begin to feel unwell during the class, please let your Class Leader know immediately.
20. Please leave straight after your class to avoid over-lap with another class and allow for cleaning to take place.
21. We are doing our very best to ensure your environment is clean and safe during your Music Bus class for you and your child or children and we thank you for your help and cooperation. Responsibility - You, or the adult carer accompanying your child to their Music Bus class, remains fully responsible for your child at all times. You must stay on the premises and supervise your child at all times. The Music Bus Licensee, teacher or any member of staff does not accept any responsibility for your child.
Payments - Payments for fees due should be made by BACS or through our online booking system. To secure your child’s place payment needs to be made in full by the required date.
Change to class time and venue - Occasionally a class may need to merge with another class if it has reduced in size over time and is no longer practical to operate on its own. Your Licensee will endeavour to find a similar class time as before but cannot guarantee this. If you should request to change your class day or venue, your Licensee will endeavour to satisfy your request where possible but cannot guarantee this.
Adverse Weather - Music Bus is under no obligation to refund for classes that may be missed due to local adverse weather conditions when the venue and environs are accessible and considered safe and the class goes ahead. If you are in any doubt as to whether your session will go ahead, please contact your local Licensee.
Video and Photography - I agree that my child may be featured in photos or video taken in class that may from time to time be used for marketing purposes (your child will not be named), whether on and offline. If you do not agree, please speak to your Licensee.
Social Media - Music Bus have local and general Facebook pages, Instagram accounts and Twitter where we share information, updates, current affairs, photos or video from class, and other items that we deem may be of interest to families. We cannot control the activities of third parties, such as other parents, on social media.
Copyright - The Music Bus logo, trademarks, illustrations and photography are the sole copyright of Music Bus. Any reproduction of these, in any form, without our written consent will be regarded as being in breach of our copyright and dealt with accordingly. Music Bus expressly forbids the right to reproduce any part of our classes in any form, (whether on the internet, through social media, DVD’s, photographs, etc). If anyone is suspected of this for any purpose of publication, they will be requested to stop filming and leave the class permanently. Music Bus cannot be held responsible for the actions of third parties, and therefore excludes to the fullest extent possible by law, any liability arising from a breach of this section ‘Video and Photography’ by any party.
Valuables - All personal property, including prams and buggies, whether in the venue, or outside, is left at your own risk. Health and Safety - To view our Health and Safety Policy please ask your Licensee for a copy. Food and drink, and especially hot drinks, can present a dangerous hazard for young children. Therefore please consume any and all refreshments in a separate area, away from children. Due diligence should be taken at all times to avoid any dangers with drinks and food around young children. Please supervise your child with any food or drink in class at all times, they remain your sole responsibility.
Medical Conditions - Please ensure that you include any existing medical conditions your Licensee should be aware of for you or/and your child on your registration form. Also, inform your Licensee of any changes, including pregnancy, as soon as you are aware of them. This information will remain confidential. If your child has an allergy, for example to nuts, please pay particular attention to any food they may consume in class.
Illness – In addition to the clause above regarding Covid-19 if your child or their accompanying adult has, or develops, a medical condition please consult your doctor before bringing them to class and inform your class leader by email. This information will remain confidential. Please do not attend a class if your child has any form of contagious illness including diarrhoea, impetigo, chicken pox, conjunctivitis, an ear infection or bad cold. Please ensure they are in good health again before returning to your class. If your child has been suffering from sickness and/or diarrhoea, please ensure they have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours prior to attending a class.
Baby Changing and disposal of nappies - Please change your baby’s nappy on the floor using a changing mat or use the baby changing facilities in the venue if applicable. Do not use any elevated areas such as tables, chairs, benches or a stage, which could potentially be dangerous and give rise to your baby falling or rolling from a high surface. Please take any used nappies with you unless there is a nappy bin provided.
Withdrawal of Service - Music Bus reserve the right to refuse entry to a class of a customer if it is felt that their behaviour is unreasonable.
Exclusion of Liability - In the absence of any proven negligence, or the lack of due diligence or breach of duty by your class teacher, Music Bus, its Licensees or employees, the participation of you, your partner, child or person responsible for your child, for the purpose of
